"Heron Rising" Watercolor 16x20 Original
"This image was chosen by the Kent Arts Commission to appear on another Traffic Signal Control box. The box sits above Lake Meridian. Each evening at sunset the herons fly overhead to return to their roost. Herons symbolically represent peace and tranquility but also persistence and determination. I like the idea of driving by the traffic box and seeing a heron lift off the lake. Maybe it will lift the driver’s spirit, too."
